Everybody knows that college is expensive. We hear the same buzz regarding all financial aid, merit aid and outside scholarships that are “out there” to bridge the gap. However, fewer people truly understand how to make college more affordable: including me!
I am excited to announce that starting next week, I will present a four-part series, “The Search for College Scholarships Article Series” featuring the expertise of Meredith Ritchie. Currently a Business Support Consultant at Wells Fargo, Meredith has an MBA from Butler University.
You may be asking yourself, “why do I think Meredith can add value to my clients’ college process?”
The answer is simple: While many of us worry about paying for our oldest child to attend college, Meredith spent YEARS figuring out how she would be able to afford to send her TRIPLETS to college. She didn’t just sit back and hope the problem would take care of itself, she attacked the issue like the Project Manager she was trained to be. As result, her three children have just completed their affordable first three years of college at UNC Chapel Hill, Appalachian State University, and Randolph College.
Tune in next week for Part I: “Understanding the Different Types of Scholarship Options to Help Pay for College.”
During the first week of June, you can expect to learn valuable information that will save you HOURS of dead-end online scholarship search time from Part II of the series: “Where to Find Qualified Scholarships.”
During the second week of June, we will get into the nitty gritty of actually applying for scholarships in the final installment, Part III: “How to Apply for Scholarships.”
The series will conclude with an interview with Meredith during which she will share the intimate details of what her process looked like and how it paid off and take questions from readers – more information to follow.
Hopefully Meredith’s sleepless nights will help you sleep better!
